Safety Matters
Our guest’s personal safety, comfort, and well-being are paramount.
That’s why certain precautions are essential when doing Levada and Mountain walks.
In the interest of your safety, Nature Meetings reserves the right to change, postpone or cancel any walk without prior notice due to adverse weather conditions, changes to the status of the Levada or trails (such as landslides, maintenance works or other events that may pose a risk to our clients). The officially qualified mountain guides decision to alter or change the excursion is final.
Nature Meetings has graded the walks according to the Tourism department’s official grading system.
Walking Equipment
To enjoy your walking in Madeira, we strongly advise you to take it seriously. Although we offer leisure walks, it is very important that every participant is prepared for the walk. Safety is our number one priority, and we comply with the European Health and Safety Legislation.
Please ensure that you are properly equipped and in a reasonable state of health.
Do not attempt to do more than you are capable of.
Pause your walk before capturing video or photographs and to enjoy the wonderful views.
