As a safety measure, The Peaks walk (Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo) is closed as of Saturday 12 October 2013 due to a rockfall on the path.
Pico Ruivo, Madeira’s highest peak at 1861m (and one of the 1,515 ultra prominent peaks in the world, is still accessible from Achada do Teixeia (PR 1.2) or Encumeada (PR 1.3) for a more challenging walk!
We will adjust our offer on Saturdy to include a visit to Pico Ruivo and publish a new Saturday offer shortly.
