Terms and Conditions (2015 Edition)
By signing up, you agree to these terms and conditions of the Madeira Plunge.
Every registered participant agrees to participate in the Madeira Plunge 2015 at their own risk. The organisation of the Madeira Plunge 2015, and also any sponsoring entity, are not responsible for any damage and/or theft of personal objects of the participant, and/or injuries resulting from the dive/swim.
Participation is only valid after payment of the registration fee. Participants who pre-register but not prepay, are outside the Madeira Plunge arrangement. In the case of non-participation, for whatever reason, the participant can not claim a refund of the registration fee.
If the event under exceptional circumstances, is cancelled, you can free register for the next edition of the same event, according to the conditions above will be communicated by the organizer and accepting the fact that the organizer can not be obliged to refund the registration fee.
The participant agrees that pictures, film or video taken with his/her image during the event can be used for promotional purposes, without claiming compensation.
Children under 10 years must dive accompanied by a parent.
Participating requires a good health. The participant agrees to comply with this condition. The following persons are strongly advised not to participate with the plunge/dive:
– ladies in a pregnancy state,
– people who suffers heart disease or other conditions that could lead to (permanent) damage to the body.
When in doubt, we recommend that you consult a doctor beforehand.
Tips:
– bring dry warm clothes to wear after the plunge.
– do not in the cold water when one is not in good health.
– There is no pick up service included. Everybody must make its own way to the plunge.
